Meander Dance Collective

me·an·der

/mēˈandər/

To wander aimlessly on a winding roundabout course.

To meander is to wander with no goal or purpose. This is in radical opposition to hegemonic internalized rugged individualistic and capitalist demands of production.

It is where creativity, motivation, and curiosity emerge…

Making Dance Accessible

MDC Provides free opportunities for dance artists to create and perform dance on Whidbey Island. We also offer free weekly technique classes open to the community so company members and community members can take regular class.

We currently host an annual donation-based Concert In the Woods at the end of the summer where original dance works are showcased. All proceeds go to MDC and provide pay for professional members in the company for their performances throughout the year.

Hard times require furious dancing!
